Anupriya worked with ICICI Bank in South Extension-II of New Delhi, while her husband, Naveen Nagarajan is a software engineer in an IT firm in Gurgaon. The couple had married a year back.

As news of Anupriya's death reached her colleagues, they made a steady beeline to her home to offer their condolences and attend her last rites at the Sector 125 crematorium. They remembered the moments of happiness the cheerful Anupriya had shared with them in office.
Grief turned into anger for her colleagues, when police failed to take the responsibility and fixed the accountability on drivers. "The onus lies on drivers to minimize negligence while driving. Twenty four-hour vigils are not possible due to severe lack of staff, but we do undertake checks and drives periodically," said Raju Babu Singh, SP (Traffic).
Regarding Anupriya's accident, police claim that the driver of the Marshall jeep was at fault. "As both the driver and the helper are in a critical condition, it's only after they can give their statements when we will be able to fix accountability for the accident," said SSP Praveen Kumar.
